Troubleshooting

Common Issues

Slider Not Appearing:

  • Problem: Slider elements are not visible on your page
  • Cause: Backend issue during slider creation - elements were removed because no configuration was saved
  • Solution:
    1. Recreate the slider from scratch
    2. The app automatically removes broken elements to prevent issues

Slider Not Working (No Navigation/Effects):

  • Problem: Slider appears but doesn't respond to clicks or show effects
  • Cause: Elements are present but the slider script is missing from the page
  • Solution:
    1. Check the app homepage for any warnings
    2. If you see "Script missing from page" warning, edit and reapply the slider to the page
    3. Publish your Webflow site after reapplying

Elements Not Updating After Changes:

  • Problem: Changes made in the app don't appear on your site
  • Cause: Changes need to be applied and published
  • Solution:
    1. Click "Apply" in the app after making changes
    2. Publish your Webflow site to see the updates
    3. Check the app homepage for any warnings or errors

Styles Not Applying Correctly:

  • Problem: Custom styles are lost or not working
  • Cause:
    • Element recreation removes custom styles for certain elements (e.g., changing pagination from dots to numbers)
    • Swiper.js styles conflict with custom styles
  • Solution:
    1. Re-apply your custom styles after making slider changes
    2. Use Webflow's style system to create reusable styles
    3. Add !important to custom styles if they conflict with Swiper.js
    4. Create separate styles if you don't want to lose them - combo classes are lost when elements are recreated

Performance Issues:

  • Problem: Slider feels slow or unresponsive
  • Cause: Complex effects or too many slides
  • Solution:
    1. Reduce the number of slides per view
    2. Use simpler transition effects (Slide instead of 3D effects)
    3. Optimize images and content within slides
